Hi, I’m Deanne! I’m a photographer based in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and I was born and raised here. While New Mexico will always be home, I love any opportunity to travel and capture moments wherever your story takes me.
First, thank you so much for being here. It truly means a lot. If we haven’t met yet, I hope we do soon. I love connecting with people, learning your story, and capturing the moments that matter most to you.
My love for photography started back in middle school, developing film in a darkroom. From there, I followed a path in journalism through high school and was always drawn to storytelling through images. Life took a few turns along the way. I earned my degree in marketing, worked in restaurants and corporate marketing, and eventually became a third grade teacher. For the past several years, I have been an Educational Technology Specialist, blending creativity and education in a way I truly love.
But something was missing.
About eight years ago, my husband gifted me a camera and encouraged me to get back into photography, and everything changed. What started as a creative outlet quickly became my passion and purpose. Since then, I have had the honor of capturing memories for the most incredible people, and it is something I do not take lightly.
I am also a mom of three, so I truly understand how quickly time moves and how meaningful photos become over the years. I have been in your shoes, coordinating outfits, hoping the kids cooperate, and just wanting it to go smoothly. That is exactly why I strive to make your experience feel easy, relaxed, and even fun.
My approach is simple. Connection over perfection. I will guide you when needed, but I also create space for real moments to unfold, especially with little ones. Let them play, laugh, and be themselves while you soak it all in. Those are the moments you will treasure most.
And do not worry, I have got the teenagers and yes, the husbands. I hear it all the time, “That was way easier than I expected.”
The relationships I build with my clients are one of the most meaningful parts of what I do. Watching families grow and getting to document their lives year after year is something I am incredibly grateful for.
